About

Hello, I’m Darryl Bordelon and I design fractal art.

I’m not a traditional artist by any stretch. My hands don’t cooperate. I shake when trying to draw a line, my curves come out lumpy, and my eyes play hell with anything red or green; so, I became a Software Engineer instead.

Fractal art has given me a way to express some of the concepts that pop up in my headspace through application of math.

The art of how the world is put together has fascinated me since my youngest memories. Fractals being an expression of how math works with the natural world. I create fractals on themes and sometimes simply to explore the ‘what ifs’ of applying new transformations to otherwise known sets. Creating fractal art is just as much exploration of what exists as it is deliberate design.

This hobby entered the professional realm in 2015, I was ‘nudged’ along the way enough to where I considered entering the realm of professional art, starting exclusively with Dragon Con’s art show where my art was displayed in the juried Art Gallery from 2016 to 2018.

Other than working with fractal art, I am still a software engineer, father, gamer, bird watcher, community manager, and general ne'er do well.
